Prophylactic self-isolation for “Celery splash” preparation. Day 70th.


Few recipes of super refreshing morning drinks could work for a month…for 2-3 months, but then you tire of them. Then you know, it is time to find new combinations and write down a new recipe.

  • Lemons, 2 pcs
  • Parsley leaves, handful
  • Celery stems, 4 pcs
  • Apple, 1 pcs
  • Honey, 1-2 Tbsp
  • Water, purified

How to make it:

  • Passive time in a kitchen:
    • Take lemons and apple from a refrigerator (if they stored there) and put on a counter for 2-8 hours
  • Active time in a kitchen:
    • Wash all the ingredients
    • Peel lemons, slice an apple and take out an apple core, cut celery stems in pieces, remove all parsley stems (only parsley leaves should go to a juicer)
    • Use a juicer to make juice from lemons, apple, parsley and celery
    • Add honey into a squeezed juice and mix (by a whisk or a hand blender)
    • Dilute with water 1:1  
    • Let it rest for 5 minutes and drink!

Important notes:

  • Putting fruits out of a refrigerator (if you store them there) before recipe preparation is a good idea, because in a warmer place (on a counter) the fruits will generate more glucose and will be sweeter. However, at least 2 hours are necessary. If making this juice in the morning – put the fruits on a counter day before, in the evening
  • For dilution with water: measure the amount of juice you have and take the same amount of water. For example, if I have 1 cup of juice, it means, I need 1 cup of water to add
  • Always dilute your fresh vegetable/fruit juices 1:1 with water. Drinking 100% juices (not diluted) could be a “shock” for a digestive system, glucose level in blood and overall healthiness
  • Dilute your 100% juices with water 1:1, but not more. If adding more water – all the tastiness of freshly made drink disappears, so ratio 1:1 is a golden middle point:)
  • If using a juicer, it is important to cut off all the parsley stem, even small ones, only parsley leaves should go through a juicer. Because parsley stems going through a juicer provide a bitter taste and you definitely would like to avoid it

Tech-tips for dealing with celery stems

It seems that fresh vegetables for daily menu is mission impossible, because they spoil quickly, and, -What is important!-, vegetables are chewy, non-digestible and not tasty!!!😀

Here are some tech-tips how to deal with celery stems in such a way, that it would stay fresh for weeks and eatable as salad ingredient:)

a) Tech-tips for storage:

  • Choose to buy those which are without plastic package. That is much possible in summer time; in winter time – ensure you will recycle the plastic package properly
  • Just after you bring celery stems from a (super)market – unwrap them from an original package and wrap into aluminum foil as shown in the picture below
  • Keep in a refrigerator with other vegetables; for up to 2 weeks they should feel fresh and juicy!

b) Tech-tips before putting into a salad

  • Wash and dry celery stems
  • Cut the ends of celery stems
  • Peel the outer layer of a stem using a regular vegetable peeler
  • Cut into pieces/cubes as needed for a salad!
